We are a small tech company in the phishing simulation and defense space and we’re excited to be more public about what we’ve been up to and where we plan to go. If you visited our website before this week, you saw very little. That is now changing as we start to ramp up our public image and our ability to help you.
This is an overview of our story.
ZibaSec officially incorporated in January 2020 with Daniel Shepherd and I (Julie Davila) as co-founders. We set out to create an email phishing simulation platform, PhishTACO, that would be exceptionally cost-efficient and simple, yet useful for both the enterprise and small organizations alike.
To make this vision a reality, we weren’t going to be able to do it alone. In order to hire talented people, we knew we needed to create an environment that would be challenging (in the right ways), compensate properly, and provide a culture that felt welcoming. One of the first things I did was to write and publish our (public) handbook complete with an overview of our benefits, engineering practices, and code of conduct. Now a bit over a year later, we are a highly diverse team of 10 people and we’re building this together.
As a team we were able to make the PhishTACO platform generally available, satisfy the use-case of an entire Federal agency (DoJ), and get through the FedRAMP process (we’re in the final phase). This is a big deal for a team that’s barely over a year old, and we’re just getting started.
Along with our best-in-market pricing, we are also releasing our first set of completely free and open-source security awareness training content which we plan to continue to improve and evolve for a long time to come.
We genuinely care about our customers, our engineering, our people, and our mission, and we hope to continue to share this journey with you for many years to come.
Thank you,
-Julie
